Hi Friends!
It’s Katarina here with you again coming with another inspiration from the gorgeous December Kit. Today I’m going to focus on the Chipboard Frames and the beautiful exclusive patterned papers from the Keeping Cozy collection designed by Kim and Kimberly. Let’s have a look!
My assignment was to create a grid layout and since I created one grid layout with square and rectangular frames from these pretty kits in January, this time I decided to go for the round ones. Also, I punched circles from some of the patterned papers, cut them in half and combined them together to form circles. I cut slightly bigger circles using the Powder Blue cardstock from the Cardstock Kit to give my circles a base and added dimension.
I used two frames for my photos and the third one for the title. I combined the little alphabet from the Pocket Life Kit with a chipboard sticker from the Main Kit.
To embellish my layout I used a mix of pretty goodies from Main, Embellishment and Pocket Life Kits.
As my layout documents winter fun in the snow, I wanted to add some texture that reminds me of snow and ice. For that I used the vellum that we got in the Cardstock Kit. I cut it in stripes, ruffled it and machine stitched it from both sides of my grid.
I also cut pieces of the colorful stripey patterned paper as well as two branding strips and tucked them under the vellum from the outside. I machine stitched them too.
And this is my final layout.
There’s a process video for you if you’d like to watch.
I hope I inspired you today to get crafty with the amazing Hip Kits. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
xx Katarina
