My assignment today was to use a cut file, create an oversized title and incorporate mixed media !

 

Here is my step-by-step process for this page. Everything I used today comes from the December 2020 kits.

 

I had a lovely photo of my daughter and our dog playing outside in the snow, and this title cut file was the perfect addition to my page. It’s a freebie Cut file from December 2020 named “Cozy Winter Vibes”. I did a tiny offset cut on my cutting machine and cut it out of the beautiful HKC Exclusive Keeping Cozy Photo Gallery Paper (Paper kit).

 

I lightly traced the inner border of the cut file with a pencil on a thick white cardstock. Then, I applied the gorgeous Oakie Bear Blue Inklingz Shimmering Watercolor that we got in the December Color kit around the title, adding water to create a beautiful water-colour effect on a big part of my page.

 

 

 

I let it dry, and adhered carefully the cut file in its place.

 

 

 

I placed my photo on the top left portion of the page. I embellished around it with chipboard stickers and ephemera die cuts from the December main kit. I also cut out of the Keeping Cozy Street View Paper little houses and trees to add to the embellishments. 

 

 

Finally, I created another floral and leaves cluster on the lower right corner of the page, next to which I added a Puffy Phrase Sticker from the December Pocket Life kit and my journaling.
