Hi everyone, welcome back to the Hip Kit Club Blog. I’m Francesca and today I’m here to share a new mixed media Layout made with the December 2020 Kits. I’m totally in love with these products.
Looking at the set of die cuts in the main kit I noticed that many elements are good to represent a warm and cozy scene in the living room.

First, I created the background using striped paper which looks just like a wallpaper. I laid the gesso to make it a little more matte effect so that the glue elements stood out more.
Then, I did the composition trying to recreate the room. I also put some elements of the November 2020 kits, like the adorable Matryoshka: they look really good on that shelf.
Then, I used Chipboard frames to put the photos and loved that too : they look like real picture frame. I also added rolled flowers, I used cut file , but in the Color Kit of January 2021 you will find a set with cut flowers ready to be rolled up.
Finally, another idea I had was to cut the bows of the set in the embellishments kit, to make the vases that contain the flowers.
I really enjoyed doing this layout, it was like playing with the dollhouse. What do you think? Did you like this idea? I hope so! Thank you for following me.
