Hi everyone, welcome back to the Hip Kit Club Blog, i have a fun new layout for you. This is my first project with the awesome December 2020 Kits and like always, i was totally overhelmed with all the gorgeous products.
I love to narrow down my choices by picking a theme or a color scheme.
I decided to go with the golden yellow and the pink from the December 2020 Color Kit (Shimmerz Christmas Cheer & Inklingz Naughty or Nice). We were asked to create a resist effect on the background. So, i thought i would use a crayon through the exclusive layered stencil and add the shimmerz colors on top…. that did not work like i wanted and i added a layer of heavy gesso on top of the colors just for some more contrast and the resist effect. I love how it turned out!

After everything was dry i started to add embellishments with the same colors on top. I grabbed one of the awesome pocket/envelopes from the December Main Kit and lots of other little things.
Chipboard stickers, puffy stickers and DieCuts (i cut off the white border). Clear stickers and acetate elments… i clustered everything close around the picture and the envelope.
I really enjoyed this process and i totally love how it turned out.
The December Kits are so full of awesome things, i can´t wait to create some more pages!
