Winter Mood Board Scrapbook Inspiration
A winter mood board is a curated collection of colors, textures, and images that guides your scrapbook page design during the colder months. Using a mood board helps you choose a cohesive color palette, plan your embellishments, and stay inspired throughout the creative process. Winter themes with cool tones, snowflake motifs, and cozy textures create beautiful, seasonal scrapbook layouts.
Hello Hip Kit friends, Becki here, I’m so happy that you found your way to the blog today. I have a really fun project to share with you that is inspired by the January Mood Board. This layout was so much fun to create.

Obviously, I was inspired by the snowflakes in the mood board as well as the word “winter”. I was also inspired by the peach/tan color in the bottom left corner.
Need journaling supplies? Our monthly kits include papers, ephemera, and embellishments that are perfect for junk journals and memory keeping.

The first thing I did was cut the title and some snowflakes with one of of the December 2020 cut files, Winter. I cut the word “winter” and the snowflakes out of white cardstock. I started by backing the word “winter” patterned paper from the December 2020 kit. The snowflakes are beautiful and made embellishing this layout SO easy.

The rest of the title is created with the silver puffy alphabet stickers from the main kit. I love this extra long title with a cut file AND letter stickers. Because I had a large bold title, I kept the rest of the layout very simple.

You can see how this layout came together in a full process video over on my YouTube channel.
Thank you for stopping by the Hip Kit blog today for this simple wintery layout with the December 2020 kits. I’ll be back soon with even more inspiration with Hip Kits. Have a wonderful week!

Tips for Winter Mood Board Layouts
- Choose a winter color palette from your mood board – look for cool blues, soft whites, and warm peach or tan accents.
- Use seasonal cut files for titles like "winter" or "snow" to tie your layout directly to the mood board theme.
- Let the mood board guide your embellishment choices so every element on your page feels intentional and cohesive.
- Keep the rest of the layout simple when your title is large and bold to avoid a cluttered design.
- Mix paper textures like smooth cardstock with textured patterned paper to create a cozy winter feel.
