Mixed Media Monday – Layout

Hello Hip Kit friends, Yarelys here sharing my latest layout using the amazing October 2020 Kits. My assignment was to show ideas to use glaze with other media. So, I took a white cardstock and paint my background using the Lindy’s Stamp Gang, Magical Watercolor, included in the Color Kit. Then I mixed my glaze with a Magical Watercolor from a previous kit and applied it using a stencil and a palette knife.

Want to create layouts like this? Our monthly kits include coordinated papers, embellishments, and supplies to bring your scrapbook pages to life.

While the background dried, I went through the Cardstock Kit and picked the dark blue and cut a piece, then I cut a border on both sides. Then I went through the Paper Kit and picked the Simple Stories, Cozy Days, Sweaters & Boots and Happy Falliday papers and cut a piece from each, also cut a border. I also picked the Warm Hearts paper and fussy cut some of the flowers.

Once the background dried, I started to build my layout. I glued the three pieces of paper one on top of each other. Then I backed my photos with tissue paper and two of the Pocket Life Kit cards, glued them and then I decorated with the flowers that I had cut.

For my title I used the 2nd Ave. puffy phrase stickers, included in the Main Kit. Then I added some of the Jen Hadfield, puffy stickers, included in the Embellishment Kit and in the Pocket Life Kit.

I love how this layout turned out and had lots of fun creating it. I hope you all like it and get inspired to create beautiful things with these amazing kits.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely day!

Yarelys xx
