NOVEMBER MOODBOARD | OCTOBER KITS – Morag Cutts

Hi lovely friends. I have been playing with the stunning October kits this week and I have been inspired by the November mood board. I love the great mix of autumnal elements.  I was drawn to the pretty wreath and used the wonderful subscriber cut file by Kim Watson.

The wreath contains a variety of pretty leaves and acorns – perfect for the mood board. You can find all the pretty October cut files here. I cut the wreath full size.

The gorgeous plum coloured cardstock from the October Cardstock kit is a perfect background.  It’s so striking and rich it makes everything pop!  I splattered gold ink around the page ground the wreath to the background.

There are so many pretty patterned papers in the October Main kit – I picked out some papers that would co-ordinate with the background.  I carefully drew around each cut out and then cut out the paper.  It is a bit fiddly but the end result is worth it.

I continued to complete each element.  I also fussy cut elements and leaves from the Simple Stories Sweaters & Boots and Harvest Wishes papers to add into the wreath.  Curling the edges of the leaves adds texture brings the wreath to life. The phrase stickers are from the October Pocket Life kit – so handy to add a little detail.

A few more splatters of white ink this time so they caught some of the leaves and the background.  I used a white Posca pen for this – knocking it hard so the ink comes out but not too much at a a time.

My photo was framed using the stunning Cozy Days chipboard frames from the October Main kit.  There are 6 frames of different shapes and sizes.  Each one is individually decorated and unique. I added some of the gorgeous Cozy Days brads from the Pocket Life kit plus more stickers around the wreath from the Foam Stickers pack in the main kit.

The October Main Kit also contains the beautiful gold puffy stickers – 2nd Ave – I am so in love with these stickers.  They have great words and phrases to embellish your layouts.

I hope I have inspired you to use the November moodboard as the starting point for your next project.  The October kits are so generous and filled with beautiful papers and elements to make your next crafting session a joy!

Thanks for stopping by.
