PRODUCT FOCUS: SEASONAL PHOTO STAND DECORATED WITH WASHI TAPES by ANDREA LAKE

Hi Friends! It is Product Focus Wednesday and I’ll be showing you how to decorate a photo stand using the washi tapes we got in the October 2020 Main Hip Kit as well as some of the patterned papers, cardstock, and embellishments from the different October kits.

I started by removing the clip located at the top of the stand. This allowed me to cover the whole surface with the washi tapes. I used two of the Simple Stories washi tapes we got in the main kit and one thin gold washi tape from my stash. I did create a fall patterned for my base.

What I like the most about this technique is that I can change the stand as many times as I want and repurpose it depending on the season, special celebration, or time of the year. It doesn’t have to stay the same and that adds value and versatility to your project.

I wanted to display a couple of fall photos of the kids. I used the Bazzill – Juneberry Cardstock from the October 2020 Cardstock Kit and the Late Afternoon patterned paper from the Main Kit to create a mini fall layout. I embellished it with some of the Jen Hadfield floral die cuts and Simple Stories Thickers from the Embellishment Kit as well as Some Simple Stories chipboard stockers you can find in the Main Kit.

I created a second page that overlaps the layout using a smaller piece of vellum and the Jen Hadfield calendar sticker from the Embellishment Kit. I used the gold alpha stickers from the September hip kits for the title.

I have a process video on my YouTube Channel showing you how I put together my seasonal photo stand. I hope it inspires you to create your own DIY project.
