CUT FILE TUESDAY | LIFE IS AN ADVENTURE | KATARINA PREVENDAROVA

Hi Hip Kit friends! It’s Tuesday and that means I am bringing you a little inspiration using the exclusive cut files and this time I used them with the super beautiful October Kits that had just arrived at my doorstep.

When I saw the new set of cut files I was immediately drawn to the “Life is an Adventure” one. Maybe because I’ve got so many adventure photos to scrap, haha. I cut it using the dark blue polka dot Crate Paper Fresh Bouquet  paper called “Wild Rose”.  Looking at the cut I was inspired to create a sunset kind of background as my photo was taken at sunset. I used all the Lindy’s Magical Powders from October Color Kit and added two more from the September Color Kit to create an artsy sunset impression.

This was the best part! I wish you could see the beautiful subtle shimmer. The color kit is always one of my favorites. When my background was dry, I popped up the cut file with adhesive foam and backed it with the colorful beauty. To the bottom part of my layout I added a piece of the Beeswax Cardstock from the October Cardstock Kit for some contrast.I connected these two parts with one of the branding strips. I cut the second part of my cut file using the Blueberry Cardstock and glued it directly onto my background.

This scene was just perfect for a photo of my son who climbed on a fallen tree. It was huge and also pretty high so it was definitely adventurous. I used a couple of pretty PL cards from the October Pocket Life Kit to add a little border and interest around my photo.

And now the embellishment fun began. As my assignment today was to mix different cut files I used the Autumn Wreath cut file and the Amy Tangerine Warm and Cozy patterned paper. I cut a bunch of leaves and florals from the cut file and used them as layers from both sides of my photo.

I created two clusters of embellishments using the Jen Hadfield ephemera from the Main Kit, stickers from the Simple Stories sticker book, Journaling Bits and Decorative Brads from the Pocket Life Kit and Jen Hadfield Gold Puffy Leaf Stickers and Simple Stories Foam Phrase Stickers from the Embellishment Kit. So much beauty, so much fun!

Last thing I used was the Simple Stories Chipboard Stickers, I added a Sweater weather banner at the bottom of my photo and two tone on tone little chipboard hearts above it and called my layout done.

I hope my layout inspired you in some way today. I had so much fun putting it together! So looking forward to using my October Kits again. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

xxx Katarina
