Hi there friends. My hubby and I travelled to New York last year to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary – it seems such a world away from today’s restrictions! To remind us of our amazing holiday, I created a cute flip album which can sit on your desk.
I used the amazing August kits for the album there are a great mixture of fun elements and travel inspired elements. My album pages are 5×5″ so that I could maximise the number of pages from the patterned papers.
I love the colours and patterns of the exclusive papers in the August Kit. I used black and white photos so I didn’t have to worry about the background colours in the photos.
I used one of the large Pocket Life cards for the title page. Those cute clouds were fussy cut from the large pocket life card and to add more detail, I used the cute Simple Stories chipboard pieces from the August Embellishment kit.
The pages feature a single photo from our travels. The paper strips from the bottom of the exclusive papers make great little banners and borders.
I kept the decoration simple just using the chipboard pieces from the Embellishment kit and my favourite pack in the August Main kit – the exculsive chipboard stickers. They have such fun designs in bright cheery colours.
To assemble the album, I punched two holes at the top of the pages and stand. Simple book rings allow the pages to turn over.
I have created a quick video of the finished album so you can see how it works and the different pages. I hope you like it…
I hope that you have been inspired to create your own desk flip album. They are fun and a great way to share your memories.
