Mini Album incorporating Pocket Life cards by Andrea Lake

Hi Friends! I have a new interactive mini album to share with you using the July 2020 Hip kits. The challenge this week was to incorporate cards from the Pocket Life Kit and I’ll be showing you different ways to do so. I’m also highlighting the beautiful lantern exclusive cut files designed by the amazing Kim Watson.

I started by having my Silhouette cameo cut the cut files. Each lantern measures approximately 4”x5”. I used different pocket life cards and patterned papers to back the cut files.

I fuzzy cut some of the pocket life cards to create some die cuts I used to embellish my pages. I also added some machine stitching and ribbons to create dimension and interest layers.

For the cover, I used a string of fairy lights and made sure each bulb was showing through the holes of the cut file. I ended up with a wonderful lantern cover that ACTUALLY LIGHTS UP!!!

I have a process video on my YouTube Channel showing you how I put together this mini album. I ended up changing the cover after I accidentally messed up the lights. I am glad this actually happened since it allowed me to add some machine stitching details and more color to the page. I hope you enjoy the video.

Make sure you visit the Hip Kit Club website to grab your August 2020 kits to start creating amazing projects. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day! See you next time.
