Hi there friends. The July kits are filled with a really good mix of products that work together for different looks. For this layout, I have focussed on the Kate and Ash pieces by Simple Stories. It has a young and fun vibe with lots of very cool images and phrases.
Photos taken in a photobooth are always fun and a good excuse to ham it up. So for my layout, I wanted to capture a light hearted and fun feeling. I started off adding some interested to the white card stock using acrylic paints. I simply dragged a plastic card dipped in paint to create the lines. It adds colour without being too heavy. Next I splattered some black pain lightly to ground it all.
I mounted the photo onto some patterned paper and a pocket life card from the May kit – I love how you can mix and match elements from different kits which make them so versatile! Adding a little washi tape which came with the Main July kit adds a little fun detial.
The July Main kit featured these fabulous foam phrase stickers. There are a mixture of titles large and small plus small icons such as hearts. They add great dimension and impact to a page. You may have also noticed that I tucked an old zip next to my photos – it adds a lovely bit of texture and interest.
Over on the right had side of the page, I created a small cluster to lead the eye across. I had used the same paint technique as before and then layered up some die-cuts. The July Embellishment kit contained the lovely Kate & Ash Chipboard stickers – don’t you just love the cute design and phrases? Very teenage!
I really enjoyed playing with these products to create a fun, young and vibrant page.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
