Hey everyone, this is Niki (@nikiclairecreates) and I have a new layout and video to share today. You can find the video at the end of this blog post. I have used the beautiful June kits which are packed full of the Pinkfresh Studio Let’s Stay Home collection. You can find the June kits on the Hip Kit Club website here. My product focus today is sequins from the June Embellishment kit.
I have used two cut files. The first one is a house from the Staying Home cut file. This is a freebie cut file and can be found on the May Downloads.
The other one, the word ‘Home’ can be found on the June Downloads and is paired with another cut file: Home is the Sweetest Place. This one is a Subscriber cut file which means you need to be a subscriber to access this cut file.
I cut the house from the Staying Home cut file three times in three different sizes from pretty papers from the June Main Kit. I then turned these into shaker pockets. I stuck a piece of acetate over the back and then stitched around the hearts in coordinating thread. I then placed foam pads on the back and filled the hearts with the beautiful sequins from the Embellishment kit. I then sealed these in with a piece of white card. They are so unbelievably cute!
I also used the middle parts of the hearts that were left over from the cut files. I used these as embellishments. I kept the remaining layout quite simple as there was a lot going on with the three houses already, so I kept my embellishments to a minimum. I used mostly exclusive Hip Kit Club embellishments from the Pocket Life Kit and Embellishment Kit.
For my title I used the word HOME cut file which is fab in Marquee Lights style letters. This was my main word followed by ‘improvements’ to finish off my title using the lovely little puffy alphabet stickers from the Pocket Life kit.
Thanks so much for joining me today and enjoy the process video below.
