Hi friends! It’s Michelle back on the blog today with some brand new layout Inspiration featuring Cut Files. Each month there’s a new batch of fresh designs ready for you all to create up a storm, and they’re all FREE for SUBSCRIBERS on the Hip Kit website!! I chose a large title design from the May release – ‘Walk Stay’ to mix together with the MAY 2020 Kits which were both perfect to use with the photo I’ve chosen to document.
I cut the cutfile design out on some white cardstock and backed it using the reverse of the Large Floral pattern paper. I also fussy cut florals from the main side of the pattern paper to use as the base of my 2 large clusters.
I adhered the entire cut-file piece to a 12×12 piece of white cardstock using some foam tape. I kept it to the left side of the layout and slightly lower than the centre to leave room for both the photo and clusters.
Before I created the clusters I added a strip of Paper #8 from the 5th & Monaco collection and sewed through the middle of the 2 colours.
Next I created one of the 2 large floral clusters and finished off the title. I used some of the fussy cut flowers from the Large Floral paper layered with different adhesives for a pop of dimension, plus stickers and large flower from theMay Embellishment Kit. The ‘explore’ word can be found in the Vicki Boutin ephemera pack that was in the May Main Kit.
I kept the layers behind the photo quite simple so as not to distract from the photo itself. I’ve just used a piece of the black and white stripe (Citron Green Geometric) a label from the Tag & Label paper and a couple of stickers from the Dear Lizzy stickers in the May Embellishment Kit.
Lastly I created a second large cluster using more fussy cut florals from the Large Floral paper, tags from the Tag & Label paper, a flag from the Vicki Boutin ephemera pack, sequin flower from the Embellishment Kit and a sprinkling of adhesive gems.
