Hi everyone, Anke here. Welcome to Mixed Media Monday. Today I’m sharing a new layout with a mixed media background made with the gorgeous May Color Kit.
The kit includes three Stamp Market ink pads and a set of Vicki Boutin stencils. I started with coloring modeling paste using the Melon Orange ink pad. Therefore I applied ink on a piece of foil, added modeling paste and mixed ink and paste with a palette knife. Then I placed a stencil on my layout, applied the colored paste and let it dry.

Then I placed my photo which I layered with pieces of the Pink Paislee 5TH & Monaco 08 paper. I fussy cut flowers and leaves from the Pink Paislee 5TH & Monaco 03 paper and arranged them around my photo combined with some of the Vicki Boutin die cuts which are included in the May Main Kit.
I added more embellishments like one of the Stamp Market Miss Modern Ephemera and Amy Tangerine Picnic in the Park Small Phrase and Icon Tickers, included in the May Pocket Life Kit.
I placed one of the Stamp Market Miss Modern label die cuts from the May Pocket Life Kit at the bottom of my page and embellished it with one of the Amy Tangerine Picnic in the Park Embossed Puffy Stickers which you can find in the May Embellishment Kit.
Finally I backed my layout with the Stamp Market Miss Modern Orange & Pink Polka Dot Paper and added some black color splatters and some of the Pink Paislee 5TH & Monaco Adhesive Gems.
