Mini Album | Erica Thompson

Hey friends! Erica with you today sharing an adorable mini album using the April 2020 kits. This album was super simple to create and I had so much fun filling it up with pretty embellishments from the April Kits.

I started with a piece of printer paper that I fold in half. I drew half of a heart on the paper and cut it out to create my heart template. I pulled out the April Cardstock Kit and used the pretty pink cardstock to trace some hearts. I cut them all out using both sheets of the cardstock and then distressed the edges.

I went through the April Kit papers and pulled some out that I wanted to use on some of the pages. I traced them, distressed them and covered some of the pink cardstock hearts with pattern paper. This help to make the pages a little more sturdy and I like the layered look of them. I also pulled out some vellum from a part HKC cardstock kit and traced out a couple hearts to add to my album. I love the look and feel of the pretty vellum in this album.

I made this album for my daughter to fill up with some of her summer memories. The April Kit has so many fun summer embellishments to fill it up!

I added in some photo mats so she can just add in her photos. I used some of the bigger ephemera pieces and tags from the April Main kit to add into the album as well. I just used my hole punch to add a hole and then added it to my rose gold binder ring.

For my cover I added some white pom pom trim from my stash around the heart page and used the pretty pink foam alpha Thickers from the April Kit. I wanted to include a little flip out for even more photos so I used the pretty green polka dot paper to create a tag flip out. I used some more of the white pom pom trim to keep it closed and added it as the first page of the album. Here is a look at the completed album.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Enjoy your weekend and make sure to stop by the Hip Kit Club shop to check out all the kits!
