Here I am back in early May to show you my little creations prepared for Mother’s Day!
For that, I used the papers and numerous embellishments, stickers and chipboards from the very bright and colorful Summer Market collection by Carta Bella, to be found in the April 2020 kits of the Hip Kit Club! A real happiness this collection!
For the cards, the most “complicated” thing was to make 2 die tags with patterned and plain paper. The rest is just a superposition of stickers, chipboards and strips of paper that you will find in your kits! π
These little vintage suitcases are gift boxes in which you can slip a jewel or a gift card for your mom, or some of her favorite candies! π
Want to do them? Here is some info:
Cut 4 rectangles of 2 3/4 inches by 3 and a half inches. I rounded the corners using a 1’3 / 4 perforated round. On 2 angles, draw a round and cut …
In white Bazzill cardstock, cut a strip 1′ wide by 11. Mark a fold at 5 eighths. Bend. Place this strip on one of your rectangles. Follow the outline by cutting the paper at the rounded edges. And paste your strip to get this …
Do the same with a strip of 1 ‘by 4’2 / 8 for the bottom.
In the same print chosen for your rectangles, cut a 5/8 inch strip and glue it on the outside contour.
Repeat these operations for the upper part of your little suitcase.
Inside, slide a 6 / 8th inch strip and glue it. It will keep your box closed. Then glue the rounded rectangles in the background.
Finally, add a 2/8 inch by 3 and a half inches cardstock on the back. Mark a fold in the middle and glue it to connect your 2 halves.
You just have to decorate to your taste! π
I hope to see lots of small suitcases soon on the HKC facebook group. And if you have a question, don’t hesitate to ask me by commenting on this post! π
see you soon …
