I hope that you are all well in these uncertain times. It is such a worry for most of us. I for one, find comfort in escaping to my craft room to play. Although things are not quite so bad in the UK at the moment, it is nice documenting a recent happy excursion to London with my daughter for her 16th birthday treat. I created this adorable camera and mini-album using February’s Main Kit, Cardstock Kit plus some older supplies from past kits.

This cute little camera is a cut file from the Silhouette store however, it is a simple box shape. I didn’t use some of the elements in the file so it is easy to create the camera without the specific design.

The camera lens is a happy coincidence – I had finished a roll of washi tape and it was the perfect size for a lens! I simply painted it and adhered cardstock to the back. I added cardstock shapes to make the camera more realistic and added the fun tassel from my stash.

On the back of the camera I used a frame from January 2019 kit. I then added a few fussy cut elements from the February main kit.

The album pages were cut on my Silhouette. I took elements from different files and created the pages so that they were the perfect size for my camera. I stamped on some, added some paint to others or used ink and a stencil just to add a little background interest.

My challenge was to add an interactive elment. For this, I used the We R Memory Keepers Fuse tool which allows you to seal plastic pockets. I had one for Christmas, but it’s the first time I’ve used it! I took a larger pocket and sealed it so it was the same size as my pages. I then stuffed the pocket with matching sequins before sealing up the pocket. You will notice that I made a second seal across the top so that I could punch a hole. I topped off the pocket with the holographic sticker from Pink Paislee Bloom Street (February Pocket Life kit).
It is a great fun album to remember our trip. I hope that you are inspired to document your memories in a mini album too.

I am really looking forward to receiving my March kit – it will certainly brighten my day! There are kits available right now but I’m guessing that they will not hang around for long!
Thank you for popping in. I hope that you and your loved ones keep safe and sound.
