Hello everyone! It’s Christina here with this week’s product focus post. I was challenged to incorporate the Pink Paislee “Lucky Us” Papers No. 7 & 8 from the Hip Kit Club January Main Kit, and from the moment I first saw the paper with the cute little shamrocks, I knew I will fussy cut it! And here’s how my layout looks like:

I started by tearing some patterned papers in a triangular shape, then fussy cut the shamrock paper in more or less the same shape (only slightly bigger) and glued the papers to the left and to the right side of my 8,5 x 11″ cardstock, so that they are overlapping.

Next, I fussy cut my photo as well, which is something I haven’t done in a very long time (or maybe for the first time ever…? Don’t remember), but I felt like the “whole” black and white photo would be to dominant on my layout.

(By the way, the photo was taken in our friends house on New Year’s Eve, while we were watching “Dinner for one”, which is a cult classic here in Germany!)

Then I started clustering some embellishments to the bottom left corner of my layout, and added some fussy cut shamrocks.

My next step was clustering some more embellishments (like the cute little tag), but this time in the upper right corner, and I also added the title, mixing “happy” from the Pinkfresh Studio Ephemera pack and “moment” from the Pinkfresh Studio Puffy Phrase Stickers.

The last thing I did was adding my journaling (striped papers are always great for writing on!), and some paint splatters.
