Hi girls Cristina here today to share with you a new project made with some of the wonderful December kits by Hip Kit Club. I let myself be inspired by the bright and iridescent colors of Lindy’s Magical pigments, part of the color kit, and I built a layout on a watercolor background. I therefore chose a white cardstock, part of the cardstcock kit, to spread the color. To create a detachment that would bring out the color, but at the same time also the cut file that I had chosen to decorate my photo, I decided to cut the file with white cardstock too.
On all my layouts I make a lot of use of the thick double-sided tape because I find that it helps to give depth to the composition and brings out all the details. Here I added the cut file a little detached from the base and then I created the decoration on an even greater level than the file, trying to keep the photo in the foreground.
To preserve the sense of lightness of the whole composition I used the set of very delicate acetate stars, part of the main kit, that exactly gave me exactly the effect I wanted.
Finally to complete everything I added some enamel dots and a little golden thread under the photo.
I really love how it turned out and I hope you can find inspiration throught my composition.
Thanks for stopping by and see you to the next time.
Cristina xxx
