Hey friends! It’s Jung here, and today I’m sharing a layout that I created with the November 2019 Hip Kits, and a cutfile.
We saw Santa twice in 2015. My daughter get her new glasses the day after we visited Santa. She asked if we could go see Santa again and take a picture with her glasses, so we saw him twice. I am just documenting that story.
I decided to use the star wreath cutfile, which will be available on the website soon. I backed it with various pink and red HKC exclusive pattern paper from the Main Kit. I machine stitched around 3 of the stars to add some more texture to the cutfile.
On another piece of pattern paper, I stitched around and around in a wonky circle with my sewing machine. Then I added some splatters; I used the pink Lindy’s magical powder from the Color kit, as well as the Jen Hadfield gold mist (which is pretty much the same thing as Heidi’s gold color shine, yay!) from the DD Festive Color kit.
I adhered the cutfile to the background with foam squares once the splatters were dry, and then adhered my photos, which I backed with cardstock from the Cardstock kit.
Next, I added my title using the HKC exclusive alpha that was included in the Main Kit. I love the color and font of this alpha…so festive! I adhered my journaling strips before embellishing to make sure I had enough room.
To embellish the layout, I added a few more stars. I stamped some stars on the background using the HKC exclusive stamp set from the Pocket Life kit. I also added a couple white star stickers, and a red puffy heart stickers.
I decided to add the cute little Santa ephemera piece (from the Main Kit) to the bottom left of my layout, since it was a layout about Santa, and a few presents to the top right.
True to my style, I decided to keep my embellishments to a minimum, and my layout is complete! I love the way this one turned out, and I really hope you do too.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and don’t forget to check out all these gorgeous kits on the Kip Kit Club website. Have a beautiful day!
