Happy Halloween ! | Sophie Delorme

Hello everyone !

It’s Sophie with you today sharing my very first layout with the October kits ! I was assigned to use specifically the October main kit and cardstock kit, and I designed a Halloween theme layout.

Looking for card making supplies? Browse our monthly kits - each one includes coordinated papers, stamps, and embellishments perfect for handmade cards.

I first started by tearing a thick white cardstock in half to let the beautiful and bold @prettylittlestudio plaid paper show under it. I used the color scheme of this paper as my focus for the rest of the page. Then, I added a few spots of watercolor on the edges of the torn cardstock and around my photo, as well as some splatters, as shown here.

I backed my photo with the Pinkfresh studio Just a Little Lovely paper and popped it with adhesive foam. I cut some frames out of paper #22 from the Paige Evans Truly Grateful collection and tucked them under my photo. Then, I embellished my page with that gorgeous pumpkin from the HKC Exclusive Ephemera die cut pack, and added some Pretty Little Studio Indian Summer Vellum Die Cut Leaves around the pumpkin and on the lower right side of my page.

I added my title, using the HKC Exclusive Puffy Phrase Stickers (which are SO amazing !!) and wrote my journaling directly on the plaid paper under my photo.

Finally, I drew a few spider webs here and there on my page as the finishing touch. You can see below some steps in making them (a piece of cake !)

Here are the close-ups. I hope you like the end result and feel inspired to get crafty with these kits, as they are always jam-packed with so many treasures !

Oh, and Happy Halloween !
