Hello to my Hip Kit friends! Jen Schow here to share three cards inspired by this week’s sketch.
While I don’t follow the sketch exactly, I took inspiration from the “L-shaped” design of it to create my cards.
My first card uses some of the exclusive chipboard, die cuts, and stickers for a sweet little thank you card. I mimicked the line on the bottom of the sketch with a paper strip and it helps to ground the cute little fox.
My next card uses the same idea of the line across the bottom and I used the leaves going from the top left to the bottom right to sort of mimic the “L-shaped” design once again. I love the woodgrain pattern from the packaging of the exclusives in the kits this month and couldn’t resist using it as one of my elements!
Admittedly, the last card looks nothing like the sketch. But the first two cards inspired my with the strips of patterned paper across them and I continued the trend here. I used that woodgrain pattern from the packaging again as my background – love it! Then I cut the tag from one of the cards in the Pocket Life Kit. That cute little cat with the rainboots was calling to me so he became the star and I added a little sentiment from the exclusive stamp set that was included in the October 2019 Embellishment Kit. Fun, right?
Here’s another look at all three cards:
I had so much fun creating these. Have you tried making any Autumnal sort of cards? I find this is the perfect time of year to send out some Thank You cards to the people who make my life great. Hope you’re inspired to do the same!
