CUTFILES AND VELLUM FOR FALL ! | SOPHIE DELORME

Hello HKC friends ! It’s Sophie here with a new layout to share with you !

I decided to create a page of my sweet girl and our dog Fiona with this beautiful Butterfly Subscriber cut file from September. I cut it in three different sizes on white cardstock and backed them with some vellum that we got in the Septembre 2019 Cardstock kit.

I wanted the butterflies to fly around my photo in a semi-circular way as shown here.

Before adhearing the butterflies to my layout, I did some mixed media with the Lindy’s Stamp Gang shakers, sprays and magicals from the Septembre 2019 and previous color kits using the packaging technique, adding lots of splatters, to my white Cardstock. The colors of my background show very subtily behing the vellum of my butterflies and I love that effect !

Then, I embellished my page with plenty of ephemeras from Pretty Little Studio that come from the September Main kit. I wanted to give my layout an autumn feel, even though I used butterflies on it ! I also very simply created a few leaves of my own, tracing and cutting a few on colored cardstock, patterned paper, and stamping some with the beautiful Dear Lizzy Stamp set from the September main kit as well.

I used a Pretty Little Studio ephemera and a puffy word sticker from the Paige Evans Truly Grateful collection for my title.

Finally, I hand stitched a few swirls with different matching embroidery floss as a finishing touch !

So here is the final result and a few close-ups !

What a gorgeous cutfile ! The use of vellum to back a cutfile is so easy to do and it gives a very soft feel to the page..! Want to give it a try ?

I hope you felt inspired by this page and the beautiful September kits, thanks so much for passing by today and I wish you all an amazing crafty day !

Sophie
