Hi everyone, Niki here with a bit of a different project today. Today I have made three cards! Not only have I made cards (which I haven’t made for years), I have also included stamping on them!

I used to make cards but they were a very different style to these cards. I used to colour in digital images, cutesy character stamps with Copic markers…so today’s cards are very different to that style. So this was a little out of my comfort zone but I was really up for the challenge as I make soooooo many layouts, I thought it would be nice for this term, to make something else occasionally.

So…onto my first card. I have used the August kits for these: the Main Kit, Embellishment Kit, Pocket Life Kit and Colour Kits.  I was in love with one of the tall journaling cards that came in the Pocket Life Kit and decided to use that on my first card. I cut a strip and a second strip, and used a border punch along both. I layered these together across the first card and added the big ‘HELLO’ from the Paige Evans emphemera. I added gold thread and stamped some flowers from the Exclusive stamp st, which I coloured in with the purple Lindy’s Magical Powder.

For my second card, I used the three Lindy’s Powders to make the water colour background, I added quite a lot of stamping and some more splatters. I then tied gold thread around the card. I backed a Pretty Little Studio frame onto pink patterned paper and added a sentiment.

For my third card I used the pretty pattern which was on the Pretty Little Studio packaging for the background of this card. I used a border punch again, added some stamping under the flower clusters and used another Pretty Little Studio frame. I totally FAKED a shaker pocket by sticking sequins in the frame but they don’t move!

I really enjoyed making these cards and doing something a little different for a change. There is a process video below if you’d like to see more of my process. Thanks for much for joining me today xx
