Hello Hip Kit friends, Anke here sharing a new project featuring the August Hip Kits. The assignment for today’s layout was to incorporate a cut file and mixed media elements. When I saw the September cut files I knew immediately that I would use the cute “Tea Pot” file for my layout.
I love Fall with it’s beautiful colors and the falling leaves. But what I like most is to sit down with a cup of tea or coffee and a book. I cut the “Tea Pot” from white cardstock and backed it with the Paige Evans-Truly Grateful-Papers #15, #05 and #14.

Then I created the background of my layout. I took the Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Powders from the August Color Kit , mixed them with water and applied them in the top left and the bottom right corner of the page.
Then I added some tone on tone stamping using the stamp set which is also included in the August Color Kit.
I layered the “Tea Pot” with two pieces of the Truly Grateful-Paper #15 and placed it on the page. Then I added my photo, layered with a PL card and a frame from the Pretty Little Studio Die Cut Pack which is included in the August Pocket Life Kit.
I embellished the layout with flowers and leaves from the Paige Evans – Truly Grateful – Floral Ephemera Pack, some stickers and fussy cut elements. Finally I added my journaling, some enamel dots and the title ,which is a phrase sticker from the August Main Kit. And I backed the layout with the Bazzill Heidi Cardstock from the August Cardstock Kit.
