Hello everyone,

Welcome back to the hip Kit Club blog. I have a fun layout to share with you for Mixed Media Monday using some beautiful Vicki Boutin products & a Echo Park stencil from June’s kits and some Shimmerz Dazzlers in the color Spun Sugar from the December 2018 color kit.

 

 

Using the a beautiful patterned paper for the background I added using the stencil and the dazzlers a strip to tone down the harsh line between the two colors. This shimmery color was perfect to blend out this line as it slightly translucent resulting in still seeing the page behind.

 

 

I then went about building a cluster around my photo. I used the VB love heart paper to create a unique boarder around my photo and some foam tape to help it pop off the page. I then used some VB ephemera and cardstock stickers to add my embellishments and title.

 

 

As the challenge was to use cool colors I tried to only use blues, greens and purples and I was lucky that Kraft matches these colors perfectly.

 

 

I finished off with some silver VB puffy stars and some splatters of watered down acrylic paint and my layout had come together.

 

 

I hope my layout has inspired you to use your stencils and to try a layout using only cool colors.
