July Moodboard inspired layout with Jen Schow

Hello again my friends! It’s Jen Schow here with a layout to share using the June 2019 Hip Kits and inspired by the July Moodboard.

I really love the bright, bold, rainbow colors but for today’s layout I decided to make a little heart banner inspired by the center photo.

I started by cutting some paper strips from the Vicki Boutin pattern that looks like notebook paper. I die cut hearts from the bottom and strung them on some twine adding staples to keep it in place.

I added some color to the base of my layout using some modeling paste and the stencil + Summer Lovin’ Sun magical powder in the June Color Kit.

I printed four photos of my cute girl and placed them on top of my mixed media, layered the banner under it, and then added some floral stickers to the sides.

My title came from the gift that keeps on giving – the Heidi Swapp Color Fresh Sticker book! Love it. I also decided to fussy cut some hearts from that popular Vicki Boutin patterned paper and layer them beneath my photos in rainbow order.

A few additional stickers, some journaling, and some black splatters (which honestly got a little out of control) and I called this layout complete!

You can see how it all came together in the process video:

Hope you’ll be inspired by the moodboard this month!

Yikes! Just discovered this mood board! It’s awesome for summertime layouts and cards! And the above LO with the little heart cut-outs banner is ADORBS!!! Also the rainbow-hued hearts echo several of the mood board boxes! Winner!
