Hi Hip Kit friends – it’s Vicki here today for mixed media Monday. This week we are focusing on the Lindy’s Magicals and I’ve used all three colours from the June colour kit and one from the May colour kit. I had the perfect photo taken a couple of weeks ago of me, Lisa Fonseca and Niki Rowland at a retreat here in the UK – so much fun!

I have a process video of this layout which you can find on my channel if you want to see how it came together, but I will talk you through it here too. I started by cutting the Heidi Swapp Color Fresh paper “Counting on You” in half vertically. Then, using the Lindy’s magicals and some texture paste, I mixed up some colours similar to those on the paper. They weren’t all perfect, but I loved the effect.

Next, I cut the 5 different coloured strips and then cut them in half diagonally to create triangles. I trimmed some down a little and left some longer to give a varying effect in the sunburst I created. I also used some Lindy’s Magicals with the packaging technique on the background to add extra texture to the page.

It was then a case of mounting the photo, which I did with some project life cards and adding some embellishments and a title. Since were at the GoGo Getaway retreat, you will see that included in my title. Here are a couple more closes ups…
