Hey friends! I’m happy to be back on the Hip Kit blog with the last layout using my April Main Kit (May kits are almost to me)!
We were challenged to use stitching and banners and I ended up letting my stitching be a subtle feature on the page.
I started by tucking my photo and banner under a ripped piece of patterned paper and stitched along the top.
I ripped a little piece on the bottom of my white cardstock and put a little peek of the same patterned paper underneath it for balance.
I tucked a title next to it and layered up a blue and yellow “N” to create green because I had a little green in my banner.
I added a few fussy cut flowers and stitched circles in the white spaces to fill it up without making it visually overwhelming.
Thanks for stopping by! I’ve loved seeing all of your projects in the Facebook group – keep sharing!
What a beautiful layout Jen! I love the stitched circles in the background, and of course the sweet peek-a-book flaps on the bottom. I’ve never tried that on a layout, but I certainly will now!
