Hello Everyone! Martina here with a scrapbooking layout using Die Cuts.
Today, I’m working with the butterfly cut file which ist a HKC freebie, designed by Kim Watson – the “Celebrate” Cutfile is a Exclusive one. To complement the cutfiles, I am using the Shimmer Sprays that are included in the January Color kit, a Vibez from a previous Kit as well as papers, bits and pieces from HKC January Main, Embellishment and Cardstock Kits.
I started by spraying my three butterflies in each one of the colors I have set up.
I have also coloured the “celebrate” cutfile which I will be using as my title. As the colors in the kits are so very balanced, it’s pure pleasure to work with them.
I tried different arrangements to get an idea of where I’ll be putting on some of the modelling paste.
I had no idea if this would end up well, to spread the modelling paste out – but I really like this soft but still solide look it gives to the background.
I re-arranged my butterflies and the picure and began to place my title. This time I used my acrylic block to be able to shift my title around.
To glue the butterflies down, I have used small pieces of 3d-foam.. I like it that they seem to be flattering around on the paper.
The Layered Heart Embellishments from Pinkfresh Studio – Everyday Musings were perfectly coordinating with the butterflies – so I couldn’t resist adding them to my page.
Journaling with a white Gel Pen and some white splatters were the last finishing touches.
I hope you like my layout and you feel inspired to get some die cuts and start creating!
thank you so much for stopping by!
