Moodboard Inspired | Kathleen Graumüller

Hey friends, it’s Kathleen back with you today and since it’s Sunday, it’s time for another Moodboard Inspired project. So let’s have a look at the moodboard, which the talented Terhi Koskinen created, first.

And even though it may not seem like it at first, this layout actually was inspired by this moodboard. The picture in the upper left corner, with the black dots first caught my eye and my initial idea was to have some kind of circle design on my layout. But then I saw that dark blue patterned paper in the December Main kit with the diamond design, and I decided to substitute the circles with the diamond shapes.

(Sorry for the bad photo quality. This dreary, grey, dark winter light drives me crazy.. I really can’t wait for longer, sunnier days again..)

The picture right below the black dots on the moodboard made me think of incorporating different textures in my project, so I picked out different kinds of embellishments, like the epoxy wood buttons, the puffy stickers, chipboard stickers and cadstock die cuts.

When it came to the placement of those elements, I was inspired by the biggest picture in the moodboard, where you have those different “panels” that look a little like book pages with different illustrations on them. That then inspired me to place most of the embellishments on the diamond shapes that I had cut from three of the papers in the Main Kit, and I also used part of the packaging from the golden puffy stickers.

For my title I used a mix of the exclusive puffy stickers and the Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Vibes Chipboard Stickers and then added my journaling with a gold gel pen, since there was no black on my layout and I already had lots of gold going on. 😉

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great Sunday!

Kathleen
