Christmas Door Mini album by Lisa Fonseca

Hi friends,

it’s Lisa back on the blog today and I’m sharing the latest mini album I made, using the December kits.

I wanted my mini album to have a cute and special shape… I had different options in my head, but neither of those was the right one… Then I looked through some Christmas ephemera from my stash and I saw this cute Christmas decorated door with a wreath… That was it!!! 🙂

So to start I created the door (cover) by using an exclusive paper (Main Kit and Paper Kit). I traced the shape that I needed (square) and then cut it out. I folded it to create a rectangle that would be the door. Then I cut out another rectangle, cut some smaller rectangles out of it with an exacto knife and adhered it to the other piece using tiny foam squares, to create dimension and to create the traditional shape of the door.

To decorate, I used a piece of exclusive chipboard (Main Kit) as a wreath and embellished it with tiny wood veneer stars (Project Life Kit), puffy stickers and gold puffy stickers (both Embellishment Kit).

Then I stitched “December 2018” on the bottom part of the door.

I always like to hang tassels and stuff on my mini albums. So I made a a little charm with paper pearls and a tiny pompom and another one using some sequins (Embellishment Kit).

Then I made all of the pages of the album. It’s really too difficult for me to explain how I put the album together, so I suggest you take a look at my YouTube channel and watch the process video to see how I did it. 🙂

I used patterned papers to matte all of my photos. I also used the puffy mini alpha stickers (Project Life Kit), puffy stickers (Main Kit and Embellishment Kit), chipboard stickers, wood buttons, ephemera pieces (all Main Kit), project life cards, clear phrase stickers, epoxy stickers (all Project Life Kit) . In the December kits, almost everything was Hip Kit Club exclusive and soooo so cute!!!

I really love making mini albums because that’s a great way to use up a lot of your products. Especially the little pieces and stickers are perfect to decorate the pages of a mini album 🙂

I hope you like it and are inspired to make one too.

Thank you for being here 🙂
