Hi there! Niki here today and it is Mixed Media Monday so I have a mixed media layout to share with you today. I’m still working with the very beautiful December 2018 kits which feature mostly totally exclusive products and they are absolutely gorgeous! I’m also working with the December Color kit and some other Shimmerz products from past color kits.

I started off by creating a water color background using the packaging technique. I applied the two colours from the December Color Kit: The Holly & The Ivy and Red Necking. I also added Pop Art Pink Vibez (October 2018 Color Kit), and Pink o de Mayo Shimmerz (June 2018 Color Kit). I also added Dazzlerz Spun Sugar Texture Paste through the lovely snowflake stencil that was in this month’s Color Kit.

Once my background was dry I started to build my layout. I used my photo with a Project Life card from the Project Life Kit which I mounted together on one of the backing cards from one of the exclusive embellishments this month (an extra pattern 🙂 ) I added frames and chipboard circles and then built a cluster on the right side of the layout too.

I added a title from the exclusive puffy stickers too and some clear phrase stickers. Once my layout was complete with all embellishments, a title and my journaling, I added lots of extra paint splatters. I used the same colours I created the background with and also used flicks of gold Miner Miner 49er Inklingz which was in the August 2018 Color kit to ass a bit of extra sparkle to the background.
