Hi Everyone! Martina here with another process of my December Documented Album.
I’m using the 2018 December Documented Kit, the Snowflake Cutfiles (Day 2 of Hip Kit Clubs Days of Giving, designed by Kim Watson) and an upcoming Subscribers Exclusive Cutfile.

I am really enjoying the way this Album is coming together. It is fo much fun, that I am – for the first time –  really optimistic that I’ll be able to finish my December Documented Album on Christmas.

I’ll be working backwards today. Starting with Day 16, I have cut down a piece of the Bazzil Cardstock which is included in the Kit to the size of my Pockets. Then I grabbed some of the HKC Exclusive Papers and a piece of coloured paper that was left over from this project.

After glueing the papers slightly to the Cardstock, i have sewn the stripes down with my sewing machine. Since I’m trying to work outside the Pocket Pages, I glued my freshly assembled page on top of a Pocket Page and glued another piece of plain Bazzil Cardstock on the back. Then i stiched this whole “Papersandwich” together.

After I was satisfied with my backgroun, i glued down the Snowflakes Cutfile. And gave it a good press during the drying time to be sure that it will stay put.

When I’m arranging my pages i like to be able to shift everything around until i think everything is in a good balance. That’s why I’m cutting the Pebbles Woodgrain Phrase Thickers from the Stickersheets. I’m also putting together the Pinkfresh Studio Wood Veneer Alphabet pieces to my needed Word on a piece of unused Stickersheet.

 

Whan I’m statisfied, I can just glue everything down. For me this ist the easiest way to end up with all Pieces where I’d like to have them.

To finish the Page with a little more red, I have added some of the Pinkfresh Studio Enamel Dots.

As I mentioned in the Beginning – I am working backwards today. That’s why I’d like to give you a quick view of Day 15. The white Cardstock is (as you know) already sewn to the Pocket Page. I have also sewn in a piece of the golden thread which came in the package with the Crate Paper Glittered Chipboard Stars.

To embellish the Page I’m using an upcoming Subscribers Exclusive Cutfile (designed by Jana McCarthy), a piece of HKC Exclusive Paper and one of the Peppbles Phrase Ephemera pieces.

The pocket is just tied on with the ribbon, so i was able to add my journaling on the back because it is still moveable.

I really like all these different and interactive elements and I’m really looking forward to see what you all are creating in your December Documented Albums!
