My December Documented 18 is – i think – my very first Album using Pocket Pages (which is a little challenging to me). That’s why i’m trying to keep it quite simple…
But last Saturday has been such a fun-filled and very christmassy-day, that i had to give my idea of a Cut file-Mini-Album inside of a Pocket Page Album a try.

I started with cutting out the Cutfile trees and printing out my Photos.
After that done, i covered a piece of white Bazzil Cardstock with a thin layer of Gesso. As soon this was dry, i added the same Watercolours as i have been using to color my Cover last week.

2

I drew the shapes of the trees on coloured Cardstock and cut them out by hand. Then I glued the Cut files on the hand cut paper and pressed it well until it was completely dry.

Since the size of my Photos was 2″ max (either length or height), I cut 4 stripes of white Cardstock 2″x4 1/4″.

3

I folded the paper stripes in the middle and glued the pages back to back using double sided adhesive Tape.

5

As soon as the pages were glued together, I glued the Photos in my Mini-Album.
To be able to close the mini book later, I glued a piece of ribbon I found in my stash on each back of the Album.

7

To glue the Mini-Album on the Trees, i first covered the whole back of one side of the album with double sided adhesive and put it on the middle of the back of one of the trees and repeated the same steps with the other side.

8

To get a nice little book, I glued the pieces of the tree which were behind the spine of my Album, together.

9

To be absolutely sure that the Mini-Album will be easy to thumb through , I used a ruler and my bone folder to score between the glued paper and the spine.

10

There had to be a test immediately – of course 🙂

11

I ended up with adding some of the Pinkfresh Studio – Holiday Vibes – Enamel Dots and a punched out number from the Pebbles – Cozy & Bright Chipboard Number Stickers with glitter accents for the finishing touches.

That is the result of my idea, using one of the wonderful upcoming HKC subscriber exclusive Cut files in my December Documented Album:
