Hey everyone, it’s Raquel here with you today sharing a new layout featuring a large statement title. I am a big fan of creating layouts with a statement title and cut files always help to the perfect large title page.
Here is the layout that I created:
The statement title was made using the ‘amazing cut file’ designed by Kim Watson that is available in the store. The striped paper by Crate Paper from the Hooray collection coincidentally fit perfectly behind the rows of letters. I was so excited, I love getting little scrappy wins like that.
The layout mainly falls in in a vertical direction so I decided to add a couple of strips of patterned paper to the left side of the page. I also added a cluster to the top of those strips featuring mainly the Vicki Boutin ephemera pack. I finished the layering of embellishments with some smaller ones like the Pink Paislee enamel and the rub ons.
The photos are documenting my little man and a recent hair cut he had. He has always had a full head of curls so when he stated he wanted a ‘big boy’ haircut it was a big move, not only for him but mummy too! The haircut added another year to his already going too quick life. The ‘scissors’ in the Vicki Boutin ephemera pack were a nice finishing touch. The little Pink Paislee ‘New Haircut’ alphas helped me to personalise the large title to suit the theme of the page.
I love making statement title pop, so when I cut a title Fromm white card stock and a cut file I love to be able to add a foam adhesive underneath to make it stand out even more. The slight shadow it gives helps it to make even more of an impact.
Thanks so much for stopping by the Hip Kit blog today. I hope this has given you some inspiration on making a large title page at home.
