Happy Saturday everyone! Michelle here with you today and I want to share one idea for creating your own 3×4 PL card from scratch! As much as I love the set of cards that are included in the monthly PL Kits, occasionally in order to fit my layout design I need to make my own like I did here using the October PL Kit:
To make this card, I cut down a piece of white cardstock to a 3×4. Next I cut out a piece of patterned paper so that it would go diagonally across the top of the card. Next, I chose a blue sticker strip and sewed it down on top of my patterned paper. At this point I felt like the white space was going to be too bare, so I stitched a quick border with my sewing machine and then added some mist droplets. After drying, I layered a flower and gold leaf over the patterned paper and applied a rub on to the bottom. My final touch was to add some puffy heart and a few sequins from my own stash. Here’s what it looks like on the completed page:
As you can see, the flower card wasn’t the only card that I made. I was needing to add a neutral color into the design to balance out all the colors, so I cut a 3×4 rectangle out of the black plaid paper from the Main Kit. Here are some closeups:
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
