Use your scrapbooking stash for cardmaking

Hey HKC friends! You probably don’t know this about me, but I started as a cardmaker, and cardmaking is still a big part of my crafty life. So today I would like to share with you some ideas how you can use your scrapbooking stash for cards.

For the five cards I’ll be sharing with you today I’ve used all October 2018 kits:  Main kit, Color Add-on kit, Embellishment kit and Project Life kit. The cards are really quick and easy to make, and I hope you give them a try. There’s a quick video on my YouTube channel in which I walk you through the creative process and show the cards in more details.

Want to create layouts like this? Our monthly kits include coordinated papers, embellishments, and supplies to bring your scrapbook pages to life.

The next two cards actually combine my love for cardmaking and my love for layouts! I used photos for them. I think they will make great cards to send to your family who live far away. And the receiver is more likely to keep them, right? The first photo-card was inspired by this week’s sketch.

This card is a bit bigger than the other four. I used swatch books from the October Embellishment kit, and the books are 2 x 2 inches, so I made a square card which is 5 x 5 inches.

Here’s the video in which I focus in more detail on how I made the cards and on the supplies I used.

Thank you for spending time with me! I hope you get inspired to use your stash in new ways! Have a great day and find time for something that makes you happy!
