Moodboard inspired fall layout by Lisa

Hey friends,

it’s Lisa on the blog today to share this super cute fall layout inspired by this month’s moodboard by Audrey Yeager:)

What I liked the most on this moodboard, were the colourful fall leaves, the black and white patterned flags and the sweet quote.

Here’s what I came up with 🙂

What I did to start, was cutting out a lot of leaf shapes in three different sizes out of 5 different patterned papers (Main Kit and Paper Kit). Then I stacked them together, using one of each size and stitched them together.

I LOVE how this turned out, those leaves make me so happy 😉 I wanted to create a little critter from which the leaves would go out. So I used some patterned papers and cardstock (Cardstock kit) created this little bear and then stitched around the borders in matching colors.

When I had my two main embellishments, I started adhering to my layout. I placed the bear head in the bottom middle of the page. Then I placed all the leaves in a way they were surrounding the bear’s head.

I chose a picture that I took the day before, when I went on a field trip through the woods with my kindergarten class. Since the weather was beautiful, I wanted to take advantage of this trip, to a take a few cool pictures of myself in the middle of the fall leaves. I didn’t forget to make some of the kids too though… haha ;))

I matted my picture on three different patterned papers, also using the black and white one that has the same pattern as the flags on the moodboard.

Then I went through all the embellishments and I chose a wood button from Jen Hadfield (Main kit) and some stickers and enamel shapes from Paige Evans (Project Life Kit) to place on the bear’s head. I also used enamel shapes from Jen Hadfield to place in between the leaves and a Vicki Boutin die cut shape that says “Hello There” (Main Kit).

As my title, I wanted to use the quote from the moodboard. I used all the different thickers and alpha stickers from the kits to write the quote. (Main Kit, Project Life Kit, Embellishment Kit).

I hope you like how the layout turned out!

Thank you so much for being here,

Lisa 🙂
