Hi friends, Kim here today with a project all about me, using the amazing September kits & focusing on chipboard but it has a twist.
It is pictureless.
Having contractors in our house at the moment, means our lives are in boxes in the garage, including my printer…which means I couldn’t print any photos. So I thought I’d use the situation to challenge myself to create a meaningful, ‘pictureless’ page. This is the result.
Dear Diary by Kim Watson
A page about where I am in my life right now. I added little journal prompts on each frame, using the adorable mini puffy stickers from Pinkfresh Studio.
Crate Paper washi tape along the edge of the page, create a pretty anchor for the first part of the title. Fussy cut gold vellum fronds, make an appearance as part of the floral cluster. You will notice that gold becomes a common denominator throughout the clusters.
White paint behind the chipboard frames, turns them into journal spots & each frame has been decorated further for interest. I wanted a pretty sophisticated result & embellished accordingly.
Mixing a Vicki Boutin sentiment, Crate Paper Alphas with a pretty floral rub-on makes for an eye catching title.
The felt flower is exactly what I needed here to add dimension. Also the white really pops on the lilac background & offsets the gold accents nicely.
I love how this page turned out. I hope you have found it inspiring too.
Thanks for stopping by, have yourself an awesome Wednesday.
I have been looking for a way to document the first things about pregnancy. I don’t feel comfortable taking a picture of myself just yet & the ultrasound pictures are too dark. This will be perfect to document this! Thank you for the inspiring layout.
Oh you are so welcome Caitlyn! I am SO happy you found this inspiring. 💖
