Hey everyone! Corrie here today with a new project. Have you ever thought a patterned paper was so incredibly cute, but the pattern was maybe difficult for you to figure out how to use? I feel like this so often and I have found that a great way to make it seem more manageable is to fussy cut out parts of the paper that I really love! Two of the papers in the June 2018 Hip Kits were like this for me. Both the “Sweet Life” and “Fresh Air” papers by PinkFresh Studio had great patterns but I needed to make them smaller to be able to use. Before I talk about this anymore though, here is my page.
I took these two papers and fussy cut out the different phrases that I liked. Things like “everyday epic” “every nice thing” and “happiness blooms from within” easily became embellishments on my page once cut out of the larger pattern.
Once I had these cut out I just used the June 2018 Color Kit and some molding paste to create a colorful background and used the pieces to decorate. Of course I threw in some other pieces from the kits as well because embellishments are my FAVE!
Simple, fast and fun.
I hope you enjoyed my page and I hope you too go ahead and cut into those 12×12 patterned papers. Don’t hoard them and don’t be intimidated by them. Break them into smaller pieces by fussy cutting and create!
Thanks for stopping by!
