Party People – Moodboard inspired/Main kit

Hi friends,

it’s Lisa back on the blog today. This week, we’re sharing layouts we made using this fun and sunny moodboard by Jill Sprott. I also had the assignment to only use the main kit.

What caught my eye in this moodboard were the big letters, the lemon and orange slices and the scalloped pieces.

I thought of creating a cutfile with a lot of orange/lemon slices. So I did that, let the machine cut it and I placed it on a pink sheet of paper.

Then I took some leftover scraps from the march kit and I cut out some “half circles” of different sizes. I placed them on a sheet of paper, creating a banner and then I stitched them in place. I cut them out and placed them on my page.

Then I placed some flowers on the Banners that I fussy cut out of a paper and some that I punched out.

I continued with my photo. The photo is from my 32nd birthday. I made a unicorn party in my parents’ back yard and here you can see me with some of the friends that came. I matted the picture with three different patterned papers and placed it on the layout.

I created my title by cutting some letters out of a teal patterned paper from the Shimelle collection. I splattered some white paint on them and oulined them with white too. I also used the rose gold thickers from Maggie Holmes. I placed my title on the page and then I took some of the Pebbles ephemera pieces and the three super cute Pebbles butterflies I had left and embellished my layout.

To finish it, I splattered some gold shine and black ink on my page.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Here you can watch the process Video 🙂
