Using multiple titles within the design | Kim Watson

Hi there crafty friends, Kim here with a new project using the pretty, awesome March 2018 kits.

Sometimes a page just designs itself, this was one of those pages. I think what helped is how well coordinated the March kits are. The mix of coordinating colors & shades really took the thinking out of the process.

With so many floral ephemera, I knew they would make a great design feature as a border along the top panel; notice how well the graphic zig-zag trim holds the arrangement together perfectly. There is something so appealing about the mixture spring colors against the soft aqua background.

Next I wanted to use a variety of frames included in the Pinkfresh Studio chipboard pack. I ended up using most of the pack on this page; for photos, layering, interest & even to help my story. The muted colors makes the multiple layers of accents work so well, little pops of yellow are all that is needed for color balance.

Taking the rose foil alphas, three titles at three points on the page help tell my story, as well as help create directionality within the design. The neutrality of the foil ensures they don’t dominate. This is a great trick to remember to use up extra neutral colored alpha stickers.

Open frames and different heights of foam tape, ensure the design breathes.

A pretty page for a beautiful girl on the cusp of her life. This is a special one for her album.

Thanks for visiting! Have an awesome day further.
