Painting with Oxide Inks & Vicki Boutin stickers | Kim

Hey friends…Kim here with some Sunday inspiration using the January 2018 Hip Kits.

First of all let me say how much I am loving the distress oxide inks found in the January Add-on Color kit! I am loving how they blend so easily & react with water with such cool results. Being the month of LOVE & HEARTS It made sense to use the Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide to create a blended heart shape on top of the black & white stripe,  which is one of the January exclusive papers I designed to coordinate with the other items in this kit 😀

I had so much fun preparing my embellishments for this page. If you look carefully you will see they are a mixture of the exclusive floral die cuts which I also designed for this kit & hand painted stickers from the Vicki Boutin sticker pack found in the January 2018 Main kit.

Positioned around the photo, the flowers act like a frame. The vibrant colors drawing one’s eye towards the center of the page. I love how the blending isn’t completely covered up, peeking from underneath the layers it adds gorgeous color tying the page together perfectly.

Foam glitter hearts & sentiment teamed with raw black & white sticker sentiments from Vicki Boutin add the finishing touch. There is something to be said about graphic black & white papers married with brightly colors accents. The result is a striking page taking pride of place on my mantel.

Thanks a bunch for stopping by. I have enjoyed sharing my process with you. Be sure to watch my Youtube channel for the detailed process video where I will show you exactly how to paint to those Vicki Boutin stickers!

Blessings + Happy Sunday to you all.
