Hello all! For me the idea of using a sketch for inspiration is always very welcome – I just love sketches! The hearts, the simple and fresh look in Corrie’s sketch above inspired me to do a simple and fresh layout.

All the products are from Hip Kit Club December 2017 kits.

I just loved the vertical design of this sketch with lots of opportunities to add embellishments and detail.  I broke out the Vicki Boutin – All the Good Things Die Cuts from December 2017 Embellishment Kit and began the basis of my design around these elements.   Here is my layout:

I had lots of fun creating pops of colour with the black and whites on the teal cardstock and utilised the numbered die cuts to add three distinct embellishment clusters.  I then added in more detail around my photo and mixed in and under the numerals to create a fun almost list like vibe to my page.  The Crate Paper Good Vibes chipboard pieces also from the December 2017 embellishment kit added some chunky depth and interest.  Along with the pops of colour from the die cuts allows my layout to be both cohesive and balanced.  I finished off my page with a small strip of patterned paper to add a bit of detail on the right hand side of my layout.
