Hey friends! Have you picked up a November 2017 Colour Kit yet? If not, you’re really missing out! I’ve been loving playing and experimenting with the Distress Oxide inks, especially blending them with a ink blending tool.
Believe it or not, I originally meant for this page to be subtle… But then a rainbow happened and I’m not sorry about it! The background took some time to blend, but it’s so easy to do with the Distress Oxides.
Once the background was blended, I splattered water over it and mopped up the droplets to get an awesome bleached effect so it looked like stars. I super-sized the Kaleidoscope cut file and backed my entire page. I love how this technique was so easy, but the results are a real showstopper!
I hope you give this technique a go using your Colour kit.

Heya! The fun of November 2017 Color kit is endless, I think – I could play with the Oxide Inks and embossing powders again and again. For this layout I did some stenciling work and splashing with the Oxide Inks and also used both white and gold embossing powders to bring some texture. Same goes with the title: Layer of ink first, then glitter embossing powder on top.
Hope you feel inspired!
Audrey
Hi everyone! I am SUPER excited to share my first page with the DECEMBER kit! It features gorgeous watercolor printed papers designed by Irit!
The color kit also includes a Shimmerz Pasteez which has a glittery sparkle to it and adds nice texture. I applied the Pasteez through the Echo Park Stencil included in this months kit, and splattered some of the mists as well.
Enjoy all the mixed media papers and products in the December kit!
