Product Focus – Main Kit Only with Missy, Audrey & Jana

Hello, friends!  Today we are sharing projects made with the 2017 November Main Kit only.  We  have Missy, Audrey and Jana here to show you how to maximize this kit to create beautiful layouts!

Missy

Hey there, friends!  Missy here, and the November Main Kit is just adorable.  I decided to start with one of this month’s cut files designed by Lorilei.  I cut it on white cardstock and then cut several more snowflakes from various patterned papers.  I used another sheet of white cardstock as my background, and I pulled out some Shimmerz from my stash as well as some Gold Color Shine.  Since my photos had a nice pop of red and green, I wanted to bring out the soft pinks and golds on the background.  And I couldn’t resist using the adorable animals in the exclusive Ephemera Pack.

I layered the patterned paper snowflakes over the cut file to add some color, and I added an enamel dot in the center of each one.  I love the dimension created here with these layers.  I wrote my journaling with a gold metallic pen.

This kit contains a chipboard pack from Pinkfresh Studio, and I used this really large white snowflake with gold foiling.  I love the tone-on-tone look  here, and it adds some really great depth and texture without being too colorful or busy.  I also tucked in a few of the Pinkfresh Puffy Stickers.

Here are those darling animal die cuts!  They are just precious.  I fussy cut the “Holiday Fun” banner from a Pinkfresh patterned paper and tucked it under the animals.  Here you can also see the gold machine stitching I did, creating lots of messy circles.

Here’s one more close-up of the die cut and background.  I’ve been on a gold kick lately and love adding it to my Christmas pages!

I hope this gives you some inspiration for using our November Main Kit.  It’s a lot of fun, and all the products are so pretty!  Be sure to check out my process video here, and then check out what Audrey and Jana created!

Audrey

Hey friends it’s Audrey!  Great minds must think alike because Missy and I both used the SAME cut file and even cut some of our snowflakes from the same patterned papers from the November Main Kit!  I think it is so fun to see how different pages using the same products can turn out!

My photo was heavy with the red and white, so I thought that using the soft blue patterned paper for the background would add a nice contrast.

But this WAS a winter page, so I kept the cut file white and then just cut a few more of the snowflakes out of the patterned paper. The bright blue flakes I inked with some Distress Inks to add another shade of bright blue.

To add some more texture, I hand stitched the circle with white thread.

It was easy to find snowflake in this kit to layer along with my die cuts.  I also took the pair of mittens from the die cut pack and cut between them so that I could “hang” them from the circular frame.

Finally, I felt that a plain white title didn’t stand out too much, so I grounded it with a red heart, which help complete a visual triangle of red.  Check out my process video below and you can watch how this page come together!

Finally, Jana is up with her page, too.

Hi everyone, Jana here with my Layout. Mine is very clean and without any mixed media. When i got my November Kits i was totally excited but also totally overwhelmed! The Kits are so full of stunning things, it´s not possible to start the first Layout without making some big decisions… but this time it was a bit easier because i only needed to focus on the Main Kit 😉

I grabbed a photo from our Christmas last year, our big tree with all of the present… Santa was so good to us! I used some of the exclusive DieCuts and some papers (Pinkfresh Studio and American Crafts) from which i cutted out little presents and a label. I LOVE the cute cat in the stocking!

I added some puffy stickers here and there and some gold thread for more interest and another texture. Since everything is so crisp and clean i decided to add just a tiny bit of Gold Color Shine (from my stash) for a touch of gold… matches perfect with my golden title, these exclusive alphas are awesome!

i love how the stitched trees turned out! White on white is one of favorite combinations… it´s just a nice detail which works perfect next to the paper trees, right?!
