Hey everyone! I’m so happy to start another great post here on the blog, and this week we are focusing on the October cut files, using the October kits, of course! Keep on reading, because there’s so much inspiration brought to you by Kim, Terhi and myself!
I decided to use one of the cut files as a stencil, and I cut it from cardstock, and used some of the Shimmerz sprays to create my background. Here’s my finished layout-
Yup, I had to use again one of those gorgeous words by Dear Lizzy from the Embellishment kit. They are just too pretty! You can see exactly how this came together in my weekly video tutorial, just keep scrolling!

Using the gorgeous Shimmerz paints & watercolor paper from the October color kit, I painted my background, blending colors as I progressed down the page. I needed a beautiful fall inspired color splash & this was definitely the coolest way to achieve it.
For texture, I layered strips of vellum over the paint, sandwiching die cut leaves between the layers before stitching them. Paper layers, one of my wood veneer leaves & die cuts were a fab way to add dimension & interest.
Then using the color blend as a guide, I added embellishments to create an ombré vibe. To finish up, & added a long conversation title beneath the photo stack using the AC matt gold foam thickers, doesn’t it looks awesome?

Hey, Terhi Koskinen here – super proudly with my self designed digital cut file. Yep, it was my first time and it was super fun. The cut file is available for all Hip Kit Club Members over at Hip Kit Club website. For this layout I used October 2017 Main Kit, October 2017 Color Kit,October Embellishments Kits. 
The idea behind the cut file was simple, I wanted to have something sweet and versatile for fall themed layouts. What would be better than good old wreath with leaves! The decision of keeping the leaves small was good, as October Hip Kits were full of different sized and colored leaves. Now we all can have the wreaths as we like.
