Expand the possibilities of your main kit with a little fussy cutting! Happy Thursday everyone! Today I am working with the October MAIN KIT only! While there are tons of goodies in all the add-ons this month, you can still create dimension and interest with just a few items from the main kit, like I did on this page below.
To begin, I pick a color combo I wanted to work with. I really liked the way the pink and the darker yellow looked together so I started with that. I thought that mint would be a good color to add for the background, so I added some mist in from my stash.
When I was looking at the patterned paper with the yellow leaves, I thought about how pretty they would look fussy cut, so I tried it out just by cutting a few stems here and there. A little fussy cutting can go a long way and it really doesn’t take that long.
From another sheet, I was able to fussy cut some small green flowers, too, and I combined these elements with lots of bits from the Die Cut pack and the chipboard.
I felt like the top and bottom edges were missing something, but I didn’t want to add too much there, so I used some punched strips of vellum just to add a soft touch.
Hope you are enjoying your October kits!
